**ADDITIONAL PREREQUISITE TO INSTRUCTOR COURSE: NRA BASIC PISTOL INSTRUCTOR LED COURSE.  If you have an issue finding an instructor to take care of this please ask us for assistance. 

Pre-qualification is scheduled for Friday evening of the weekend course.

Candidates will learn NRA policies and procedures, basic public speaking skills, training methodology, use of a training team, training aids, course organization, budget considerations, and how to prepare to instruct an initial basic pistol course to individuals with little or no experience. During the course, candidates will learn NRA policies and procedures, basic public speaking skills, training methodology, use of a training team and training aids, organizing a course, building a budget, and finally preparing to teach.  Candidates can also expect to learn the NRA discipline specific instructional methods and evaluating and improving the performance of beginning shooters. In addition, candidates will be provided the appropriate lesson plans and basic course student packets. Candidates take turns working in teams, actually conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students. Training Counselors will evaluate candidates' performance based on their ability to handle the firearms with confidence, use of appropriate training aids, following the lesson plans and meeting all learning objectives, while utilizing the teaching philosophies expected of NRA Certified Instructors.  This course includes significant business and marketing strategies if you would like to develop a firearms business.

NRA Certified Rifle Instructor Course

This course includes everything you need to obtain your NRA Certified Rifle Instructor Certification, including Basic Instructor Training (BIT)  -- IF you need BIT you can attend the Saturday portion for two days of training.​

NRA Chief Range Safety Officer Course

This 14-hour course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to training and supervising NRA range safety officers and developing range standard operating procedures.

Prerequisite: Must be an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer.

 

Course is presented in two parts: Basic Instructor Training and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer training, unless you are an existing instructor then only one day of training is required. Sessions include standard operating procedures, inspections, emergency procedures, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, safety briefings. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises and complete an open book exam. Students will receive NRA Basic Range Safety Officer lesson plans, basic student packet and basic course presentation CD. 

 

This course is ideal  if you'd like to Build a Range, Run a Range, Consult for Ranges, or if you are currently with an Agency where this rating is recognized for various positions.

VA & Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Course + FL Option

MD Wear & Carry Part II Course

Four-hour classroom course extensively covers handgun safety, shooting fundamentals, handgun safety, ammunition, malfunctions, fundamentals of shooting for accuracy, cleaning, holsters, drawing from concealment, escalation of force and relevant Utah Conceal Carry and Federal Law Review. This course meets the training requirements to submit application for a Utah Concealed Firearm Permit for legal carry in 30+ states. 

 

Florida Permit Option:  Live-Fire Portion is required to fulfill Florida training requirements for Conceal Carry Permit.  This session will be scheduled for subsequent date after the classroom session with additional cost.*

GirlOnFire Defensive Pistol II Course

This is a comprehensive Classroom and Live Fire Training which includes the following topics: Taking a Deep Dive into Criminal Cues, Crime Statistics and our Real Picture, High-Risk Situations,   Criminal Mindset - Reading the Criminal, Languages of Intuition and How to Decode for Safety, Hostage Negotiation, Tactical Reloads, Malfunction Clearing for Speed, Drawing from Concealment, Defensive Course of Fire Speed Qualification (Dry Fire then Live Fire Session to follow: Safety, Speed and Accuracy).  How to be accurate and maintain tight shot groups while incorporating speed.  We will team up for 'competition' for the live fire portion (including multiple challenging targets and a Law Enforcement drill).
